SLIPPERS (FLIP FLOPS)
IN TRANSIT
IN TRANSIT
(exhibition by Patrick Tagoe-Turkson-Ghana)
How do we take care of our slippers (flip-flops)? Do we take time to look at what is happening at the foot of our slippers too?
How do we relate o to our external world? Do we feel all right with the way we look physically as against what we imagine should have been our real physical outlook?
Are we satisfied with the places we live, our jobs, remunerations, families and friends? Do we sometimes feel our past has something to do with our present predicaments? How do we reconcile our inner feelings with our external experiences?
Since the strap of a slipper cannot be put on independently without the foot, and the foot of the slipper is equally useless without the straps there is therefore the need for man to coexist peacefully with nature.
